Detailed Itinerary

Day 0 — Arrival in Moshi

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your guide for briefing and equipment check. Overnight in Moshi.

Day 1 — Moshi → Machame Gate → Machame Camp

Register at Machame Gate (1,790m). Trek through rainforest to Machame Camp (3,010m). Duration: 5–6 hours.

Day 2 — Machame Camp → Shira Camp

Climb steep ridge into moorland. Trek across Shira Plateau to Shira Camp (3,840m). Duration: 5–6 hours.

Day 3 — Shira Camp → Lava Tower → Barranco Camp

Acclimatization day: ascend Lava Tower (4,630m) then descend to Barranco Camp (3,950m). Duration: 6–7 hours.

Day 4 — Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp

Climb Barranco Wall and continue through valleys to Karanga Camp (4,035m). Short day for acclimatization. Duration: 3–4 hours.

Day 5 — Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp

Trek to Barafu Camp (4,680m). Early dinner and rest in preparation for the summit attempt. Duration: 4–5 hours.

Day 6 — Summit Attempt → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp

Midnight ascent to Stella Point (5,756m) and continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m). Descend to Barafu for brunch, then continue to Mweka Camp (3,100m). Duration: 10–12 hours.

Day 7 — Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate → Moshi

Final descent through rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive summit certificate and drive back to Moshi for rest. Duration: 3–4 hours.
